The English-Speaking Union of the United States (ESU) is a nonprofit that uses the English language to build understanding and opportunity, through a national network of branches and programs for students, teachers, and new immigrants.
For the 2024 Annual Report, I designed a printed report and a companion web report built on Webflow. Both share one visual identity: deep navy, a graph-paper texture, and photos cut into torn-paper circles.

The web report opens on a map of ESU branches across the U.S.
The web report is a single long page. A sticky navigation bar jumps to each section, and a set of program buttons takes readers straight to any of ESU's programs. Longer letters collapse behind "Read more" so the page stays easy to scan.

Program buttons link directly to each program section.

Each program pairs photography with its story and key numbers.
The financial statements are built as HTML tables alongside Chart.js charts that animate as readers scroll to them. On mobile, the long donor lists collapse into accordions by giving level.

The printed report follows the same design system across 40 pages, with program spreads that pair key numbers, quotes, and photos, and a full financial report with charts.
